    Must know info:
Which Android apk browsers work on the Passport?
Which apps have native/ or apk support ? Is there an exhaustive list where I can find up to date info ?
    Does Google maps work?
What workaround can people use to access financial apps; like bank of america, td bank, citibank, ameritrade, e trade, stocktrading apps? how can one automatically log into them since they are probably not supported any longer? (i.e: create a shortcut? but with which browser? will it save passwords so we can auto-login?)
I don't care for apps; I can use the web versions of them for the most part.

What kind of battery life/Onscreen time can one expect with a new (but with an old battery) Blackberry passport?

I may add more questions as I come up with them

    Some answers to your questions:

-several android browser apps will work with the best seeming to be Fennec (modified by XcrazyS) and Kiwi (my favorite) but they are all slow.

-there is NO exhaustive list simply because many android apps (most, now, actually) will NOT work anymore. Basically look for the minimum android app requirement of android 4.3 or LESS as BB10 has an android runtime of 4.3. Even that runtime is a substandard 4.3 and many android apps with that version will not work.

-the newest Google Maps app will NOT work but there will be an older version work. Most here find that the web version of Google Maps works better. I still use BB Maps and like it but it may not work in your area. Bottom line is that GM is just not a good experience and we use other mapping alternatives with opensource maps. Examples include Maps.Me or Magic Earth (again XcrazyS mod which you can find here along with other useful apps).

-Banking and financial apps are no longer supported natively and the only way you can access is by using an android browser such as Kiwi with a bookmark. You can save passwords but safety may be an issue.

-I have had my Passport now for 7 years and I am still getting a full day with about 30% left at night when I plug in but I am a light user. I have purchased a new replacement but have not put it in yet. My battery now has well over 1200 cycles on it. Just unbelievable imo.

Bottom line: if you need a device for apps, this is not for you. If you need a simple communication device with very minimal web browsing and simple but elegant utility apps (calculator, pdf, note taking etc), then you can make it work.

    Hope this helps!

I use several Android apps on mine.

    Youversion Bible
    Life 360
    FeedMe
    Kiwi browser
    AntennaPod
    Telegram X
    Reddit
    Pandora

Not all are the current versions, though some are, but all work well. Battery life for me is about half a day.

I only use the Kiwi browser. The built in browser is slow and doesn't work on most sites I use. You cannot create shortcuts with anything other than the BB browser though some apps (like FeedMe) let you choose which app to open links in.

Apkmirror will be your friend when looking for compatible app versions.

Yalp is another good BB10 resource for usable APKs but I'd suggest attempting to keep to Native Apps or Mobile Browser as much as possible.

I've recently acquired Passport SE and while it's usable, it's limited to hobby status for the most part for most people.

Except for @brookie229 who controls parts of Canada with his.

BTW - since I see you posting regularly, I assume better health. I shouldn't just assume, hope as you're using that Passport you're recuperating progressively.

You know that you're fully recovered when your wife totally stops doing stuff for you and ignores you so I guess I've milked things to an finality.

I think I got Youversion from the Amazon App Store. Check there and if that doesn't work I'll check for you when I get home.
