Good read! Thanks op. I'm surprised Instagram isn't working. The latest version works great on 10.2.1 on my Z30.

Would be strange if apps like Instagram that are in the Amazon App World would't work.

It's not a final build... once the updates start rolling out, the apps will start working again

I'm sure the media will say : "even BlackBerry does signed with Amazon there is still a lack of applications on BlackBerry Passport", they will say also "Major apps like Instagram are not available, etc..." BlackBerry should allow Snap in the BlackBerry World

Instagram isn't in the Amazon Store - go read a few forums, it's been one of the most requested apps. But Sideloading is something that Kindle users have learned to do also.

As for SNAP.... with 10.3 the latest version of Instagram doesn't work, not sure if they have gone the Google Services route or if there is something else that is preventing it from working right (been a few native apps that have also gone haywire too). But it's been discussed, SNAP is breaking Google's TOS... it will NEVER be an official App, as BlackBerry doesn't want to be sued and accused of endorsing illegal activity in their App Store.

Snap2chat is way better than the original snapchat.

Igrann still has some improving to do but I will gladly take native and wait for the extra functions.

    Surprise!
Instagram actually is in Amazon Appstore, just as of June 15, 2014:
    http://www.amazon.ca/Instagram/dp/B00KZP2DTQ/ref=sr_1_3?s=mobile-apps&ie=UTF8&qid=1408386349&sr=1-3&keywords=Instagram

For some reason Amazon Appstore must not think BB10 devices are compatible. I can't see any parameters on the Amazon page for Instagram that lend any hints why not.

Unlike Snap which shows every app available in Google Play, Amazon Appstore filters out apps it believes are incompatible with your device just like BlackBerry World does.

I'm going to start a thread on this in the Android App Forum if there isn't one already.

Still you can 'purchase' on the amazon site (dekstop mode on) and then force the download on your BB10 Someone should try and tell us how it goes!
