Unplugged my phone at 5:07 am and just got home from work athlete 6:31 pm. Not hardcore usage but plenty of Web searches. BBM and a few random you tunes and this is my battery. I'm more than impressed. Stellar job Blackberry!

Ensure apps don't run in background if not needed and don't allow apps to use bbm if not needed. These are ways I have gotten the most from the battery. Also 20% display brightness is sufficient for this phone as the screen is fantastic.
Android runtime really only an issue is you have active frames.

I don't use it as much as I do during work. So I say this is from light usage.

Yeah if using android apps I do get really crappy life. But I rarely use them.
Hoping to test more this Wednesday as it will be raining. More playtime less work hehe.

Went on a bit of a roadtrip (3 hours each way) and was streaming music via bluetooth the whole way, some from my music library and some from YouTube, plus browsing and text messages. With my Q10 I would have had to charge it at the end of the first half of the trip with similar usage. I'm supremely impressed with the battery on the Passport.

If you keep bluetooth off, wifi on, and display at around 30 percent you can really stretch the battery's life.

    So true!

While struggling with app compatibilities I have resorted to some Android apps and my battery also takes that 45 degree nose dive as well.

    Total buzzkill!!!!

I'm starting to just not run them anymore. I'd rather just buy an iPhone or Note 4 as a second device than infect this beauty of a device with crappy apps!

My battery keeps getting better. I ensure charge to when below 5% and fully charge.

I used it heavily today since the morning and still more than 40%

That won't really make a difference on an LCD screen.

I think I like the Q10 battery life better. I will let this settle in for a few days after all, I have only had this passport for about 30 hours. Too bad I can't swap batteries though!

I love this phone and the battery is better, but not like every one raves about. I get through my day usually, but I've had it run shy a couple of days as well and that's with most of the power saving tips being used.

It's about the same as Z30 or slightly better for similar settings and usage but Z30 has great battery life compared to other BlackBerry phones and Iphone.
I don't use android apps which I gather drain your battery. They are too insecure for me and cannot control their permissions.

It appears to be inconsistent between blackberries. Mine is not living up to the hype, sad to say. Drains pretty quickly, actually.

I mean what's the point of having the ability to use android apps on a BlackBerry phone if it takes up so much battery..i mean it makes no sense.

Do you mean almost 48 hours? Off charge 11:07am on Tuesday, out of charge 9:47pm Wednesday = 34 hours and 40 minutes. Not bad
