I am using BlackBerry Passport os 10.3.2.2836, when I uninstall an app and try to install newer version from amazon or other trusted store it says first uninstall the previous version or you already have the latest version installed. I deleted them from the screen, from BB world as well, tried soft reset. Hard reset or factory reset works. But have done that twice. Again this happened with times of india news app, the one in BB world doesn't work, when I installed from amazon app store, it says already you have the latest version, first uninstall that, evethough I have done it. Is there anyway out without factory or hard reset to solve this issue?

Do a search on Crackberry for BlackBerry Runtime for Android. Crackberry did an article about it and a lot of people have discussed it. The fix was just released via the BlackBerry World a couple of weeks ago. Solved my issue! Hope this helps!

Don't forget, once installed, DO NOT OPEN. Instead, reboot your device and then give it at least ten minutes to settle in before using it.

You still have to uninstall the previously "deleted" apps. The new Runtime simply provides the ability to do so. Use Google Play Store or Ghost Commander to get rid of the old stuff.

The Runtime on 2474 is not affected by the bug. Absolutely do NOT try and update the Runtime with BBW.

The new Runtime will not initialize until after a reboot.

Sometimes if you don't give it some time to set itself up, the process can be corrupted. That is why you should wait at least 10 minutes after rebooting.
