I'd just wait a week or two until other stores start carrying the Passport. I'm rather sure Selfridges wants to sack in their early adopter bonus, as sad as it is. We have a couple of stores doing the same practice over and over again here in Germany too for a range of products.

Honestly I expected the price to start with a 4 yeah. But I did expect it to be closer to the 500 mark, rather than over 500. So somewhat disappointed. My guess is it is showing out of stock now but will probably come in stock either after the event or tomorrow or something.

Anyone gonna definitely take the plunge and get one?

Baah. My partner works 30 minutes from the store. I just said "Fk it!, go get me one. After waiting all this time, and extra �50+ means nothing. I still have my z10 + z30 to sell. I could surely get �170 for both of those. Takes this baby down to about �390 ish. Funny thing is, I have not even held the phone; just taking a big jump!

The hilarious thing with Selfridges is that they are selling the q10 for 549 lol. Don't think they sell many of them if any at all lol. I've seen the Q10's being sold for alot less than that.

Price gouging simple and as plain as that. Still ill be heading down, if only to have a play with one. Won't be buying one at that price...will wait a few weeks till other places have them and probably cheaper than Selfridges.

Gutted. I would have bought one at 400ish. What about ordering one off the web from the states at $599? Even with shipping it's going to work out much cheaper.
The irony is if it was the $ equivalent of �529 in the states I would probably cough up for it, but the massive mark-up over here really annoys me.

But the uk market isn't strong for BlackBerry, no shops here really sell BlackBerry other than cpw and even they aren't that interested in selling you a BlackBerry.

UK is Blackberry's biggest market in Europe, it currently has around 3.4% market share which is above the global market share. There are around 2.75million Blackberry users in the UK.

100% definately yes. cpw. clove. handtec. amazon. will all be cheaper

I think it may come down a tad - maybe even to 499GBP - but let's not forget that for a high-end smartphone, even 529 ain't exactly 'steep'...
