The one that comes with the phone works perfect for me
From my Jamaican Passport.
No issue with the BB Twitter app.
I use Blaq, been using it since the playbook days. Does what i want and need it to do.

Blaq for me. Just discovered the shortcuts which make it even better. H for home timeline, M for mentions etc
Posted via the CrackBerry App for Android
I have blaq just in case I ever decide to tweet. Whenever I do sign into my twitter account, I see a whole lot of foreign language tweets and just sign out
Blackberry Passport running 10.3.2.680
Default twitter client works perfect for me.

You normally see tweets from the people you follow. It shouldn't be in a foreign language unless they are native speakers tweeting that way. Pick your interests: blogs, news shows, podcasts, tech sites, magazines. Most of these places post links when they post new content. I like it better than an rss feed. I don't do too many celebrities, but they are on there, as well as politicians and activist groups. Or check trending topics and follow people who make good points or post info you like and interact. I didn't get twitter when I first signed up, but I tried it again a few weeks later and now I'm on there every day. Twitter has breaking news before anyone else. I miss out on what's happening in the world when I don't log in regularly.
Oh, BTW I use blaq also. There were other clients like willow that I really liked, but blaq has a timeline across the top so I can always tell how old the tweets are that I'm viewing, so I don't end up replying to a 3 day old tweet. The default client works well, but it downloads all your twitter contacts, and there is no way to stop them from showing up in the universal search unless I disable all contacts from showing, so I uninstalled it. I have a z30.

I like Twitter for BlackBerry, the one that comes on the phone. I used Blaq for a while, since I have it on my PlayBook, but it uses more battery than BlackBerry's Twitter app does.

Stock app. No ads there.
On Android, I like Twidere.

thanks for the info. I have never followed anyone so not sure why they keep showing up and cant remove them no matter how hard I try
You may just be seeing suggestions because you haven't followed anyone. Normally you click on someones time line and there is a button to follow or unfollow.
I've compiled some links for you. You may want to look at these on a computer. Sign into twitter, click on the link, and if you like the subject or their timeline comments, click follow. If not, move on to the next one. Twitter will also give you suggestions based on who you've followed. You can also make lists and put similar accounts in lists so if you only want to see a particular subject at a time, like shopping deals, you can just look at that particular list. Be advised even if someone posts primarily about one topic, cooking for example, they are people and will have tweets on any and everything.

A lot of tv shows have verified and fan accounts, like True Blood and Game of Thones. A lot of network stations now also will ask you to reply to them on twitter with a hastag so you can interact. If you have a problem with a particular business, many have help and customer support available via social media. I've won items including a roku player on twitter from entering contests. Just about any interest you have will be represented on twitter. Just search for a keyword and you will come across different accounts on the subjects. See who they follow, and who follows them and check out their timelines, if you see comments you like, follow them and interact. If you agree with something they've said, retweet them or reply and let them know. Most of the accounts I posted are mainstream accounts, but I actually prefer to follow regular individuals rather than the "famous", so to speak. You can have a lot of good and interesting conversations 140 characters at a time. Good luck and most of all.... have fun!
Anyone notice that if they keep the twitter app open it drains batt. On my first day on the passport it was showing 16% usage...higher than screen time! Did a reboot and seemed to fix it but now I always just close out.
It's almost always open on mine, does not drain the battery at all.
