I can't back up the Passport on windows 10, using the BlackBerry Link app. Tried everything: different USB cables, full backup, custom backup, nothing really seems to work...
Is there another way to do it or there is a fix to this bug?
    Thanks

Officially Windows 10 isn't a supported platform... but it does work for some.

    Does LINK see your phone?
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?

Ultimate Backup can be found in BBW....

Thanks. The Link app see my Passport, but basically doesn't do anything with it. Can't sync calendar or contacts or do any type of backup.
You said that there's an app at the BBW that does the job?

I found a solution on windows 8 at least. On win 10 it worked too.
You need to use BB Link and BB Blend simultaneously. Idk why, with Link only nothing worked. No backup, no wireless connection to pc. But after activating blend via wifi, letting it open and then go to Link, I could do a backup and restore via usb cable.

Maybe this works for you, is a bit random, but now it works for me

Thanks for the hint, but it didn't work. I had to perform a security wipe, got the phone for hours, it never ended.
Then, via the Link app, I had to reload the OS.
Really ducks this kind of bug...

    Thanks anyway.

I did that once.... couple days later it stopped seeing my phone again. Only solution was an old PC running Windows 7 that would work... and I made sure to disable all updates.

Best solution is to use LINK if it works, but have a backup if it stops working again. As I said the app Ultimate Backup in BBW does allow you to save most your data. It isn't a full backup like LINK.

Thanks for the feedback. But after been a loyal bb user for almost 10 years, I think today that the best solution is buy a phone that gives the user a decent support...
