I still think you could have a 16:9 display, the battery position can influence weight distribution....

    The size doesn't bother me....

But the 1:1 aspect ratio does...same for the Classic.

Can someone answer why it's so difficult to put a 16:9 screen with a keyboard??

    Posted from my BlackBerry Z10...
Because 16:9 is a horrible aspect ratio to try and pair with a keyboard. 16:9 needs to go out sideways, while keyboards need to go vertically. You simply can't have a large 16:9 screen on top of a keyboard unless the device is shaped like a T.

I asked Dylan to do a comparative mockup on screen sizes and he graciously obliged here: http://forums.crackberry.com/showthread.php?t=940752

Gives one a bit of a perspective. Perhaps he can be convinced to include competing handset screen sizes for comparison as well.

Is it exactly the same size as the actual passport? I measured my passport dimensions are 8.52 X 12.4cm / 3.35 X 4.88 inches.. I'm very much excited about the new blackberry passport! I'll get one instead of Z30.. :-)

I'd sure like to know the exact dimensions in inches (not the screen size). Can't anyone tell me this?

    Something between 3.35" x 4.88" and 3.5" x 5".

This post makes no sense... That's like saying "Hey guize I'm using a Note 3 here and ever since I got it I couldn't imagine to go back to my S3 beacuse of that screen is so big and nice....I think Passport will be a hit too cuz of that its screen is bigger than other BBs"....the statement and the whole post makes no sense since there's been like 50 other posts talking about Passport dimensions, will it be successful and so on....humans.

Screen size matter... but the way you will use your mobile on a daily basis, matters a lot... let say, that you are only using your mobile as a basic communication device i.e. calling and sending text messages and sometimes check your social media accounts or even email, a small size screen maybe enough to satisfy your major tasks... but if you are more inclined to watching YouTube and streaming online videos, surfing Internet, reading ebooks, playing games and responding to a lot of emails in real time not to mention, frequently updating your social media status and whereabouts and don't bother at all to bring something bigger in your pocket or in your purse, a bigger screen is ideal for you...

Screen size does matter... but in the end of the day, it is how you will use your mobile should determine of what screen size is suitable to you...

The Dell Venue Pro format for the future BlackBerry? Why not? I rather have the format of the Passport but for those preferring the 16:9 ratio it would make perfect sense.

I think if it was a 16:9 vertically it would mean smaller keyboard, if u put it horizontally, means smaller screen, where as a 1:1 screen is the max u can go without compromising, think of it as ur 16:9 screen, just with extra screen on two sides, it is a more efficient design then any other ratio.

Yep - opinion is opinion. I am the opposite of you in fact. I can't stand BB10 on the claustrophobic screen of the Q10, and prefer the screen real estate of my Z30. My Q10 collections dust, while my Z30 gets the most use.
I also have q10 and z30 and while I love the q10 keyboard I also love the z30 screen ...........I think this passport will fit both my loves ....

Computers are getting smaller and mobiles phones larger. Convergence? I personally like the size of Q10 for mobile purposes and limited internet usage.
