I dropped my 3 year old Passport and it's damaged; I did manage to make a full backup. I bought a new (used) Passport - great condition - but when i went to restore the data, Blackberry Link says the software version is incompatible.

My old passport is apparently current:
    10.3.3.2137

    The new one is:
    10.3.2.2639 - according to Link
10.3.2.2427 - according to the Software Update function on the passport

The new passport says the software is up to date and won't update to 10.3.3.2137

My backup data is stored with the old Passport's OS - 10.3.3.2137.

I presume I need to update the new Passport to 10.3.3.2137 to restore the backed up data to the new Passport.

How do I go about doing this when both Link and the new Passport say that there's no update needed (it's current), so I can restore my data to the new device, and anyway - why does Link give me a different version number for the OS?

I'm using a Mac, and the Link version is 1.2.2 Build 32

    This is extremely frustrating.

You will have to update your new Passport using an autoloader here: https://mega.nz/#F!fA0URRLL!P-4nDqc5...5LyhA!uUEXFISb . Download the Passport 1.46gb file only (zipped) to a PC (not Mac), unzip it, plug the Passport into the PC and click on the autoloader .exe file. The process is EASY and quick (about 15 minutes) and then you can set it up as if new. Use the same BBID as your old Passport when setting up. Then restore or just use new. The biggest problem for you will be that you cannot use a Mac.

And as for the OS number--- the OS Version is 10.3.3.3216 and the Software Version is 10.3.3.2137. They are one and the same, it's just the way BB names their OS.
