    Hi guys,

I've just bought an unlocked passport, previously using a local set of blackberry passport. I just changed to the RED passport.

One thing I've noticed is that, the traditional pinyin input is missing in this phone, and it only has the normal pinyin input.

Is there anyway I can enable it? or install it from somewhere? maybe from my old phone?

    Anyone has a way?

I think they actually took this option away. I seem to remember being able to do this on earlier 10.3 releases, but now that I'm on 10.3.2 I can't see that option any more.

Contact BlackBerry, maybe you'll get an answer why they removed it etc and if it's coming back.

Never mind. I've manually installed the traditional pinyin Chinese language pack using sachesi program.

But it won't let me choose the input as traditional Chinese, still the simple pinyin mode, however when typing out the Chinese pinyin, u can decide to choose traditional or the simple word.

It's annoying as fug and slows down your typing speed, but this is definitely better than nothing.

Wunliang - are u using local Singapore set?

I bought from amazon US version, so I'm currently running 10.3.2.2204. My previous blackberry passport before this was the same OS as u, and it does have the traditional pinyin input

    I live in Hong Kong.
My BlackBerry Passport model is SQW100-1 -- I wonder if that matters?

I've just updated my OS to10.3.2.2204 and have just noticed this issue. May I know how to install traditional pinyin Chinese using Sachesi?

    Hi hadigunawan,

Thanks for your input. And I'm also dealing with this situation, are you able to provide your tranditional chinese bar file? If it could pop out traditional pinyin input, and it would be sooooooooo awesome!!!

    Thanks!

It's gone on 10.3.2.798. I lost it on my Classic as well, and resorted to handwriting and the Simplified Pinyin, but have to scroll way past to get the Traditional.

go to here and load the OS
    ݮOS10.3.2.2204(SR10.3.2.2134)й©-ݮ˿ -

    search for the sys.data.imf.zh_TW-10.3.2.114
this is the traditional , once u load it in, u can type traditional under the simplified pinyin input
i can't seem to make the traditional input appear , this is the only workaround i found.

Pinyin? Why not just use the handwritten option instead? It's faster then all the other options...

We need traditional Chinese pinyin input on 10.3.2.

Not everybody likes the handwriting input method.

    Rim,please!

Are the missing traditional input due to the fact that you are running leaked OS? Am just wondering as it seems like the official OS roll out is only trickling in. Not sure many have gotten it. Am still waiting for roll out here in Singapore.

My wife had the same issue. I resolved it by changing it to English then back to Chinese simplified.

I find that pinyin is not always accurate... like I want 你 I pronounce as "lai" and some with "nai" and mandarin is "ni"

I'm in sgp as well. I just bought a red passport from amazon, that's why I'm running the international 10.3.2. Not leaked, cos when u purchase from overseas u will get the update faster than ur local one.
