Assuming that you have all watched the latest bb classic video where the user is navigating the home screens using the trackpad, I have not seen the same thing on the Passport despite the fact the keyboard in some scenarios act as a trackpad like scrolling up and down on websites and in lists. I think if the keyboard can act the same way as the trackpad on the classic, it will aid 1 hand usage greatly. It seems like on the classic, BlackBerry is try to make sure that all items are selectable using the trackpad alone without touching the screen . Does know anyone know if the same goal is aimed for or is already working on the Passport?

I think it should come to the passport eventually, but not until 10.3.1 is finished

That's really a good question. Would be nice if somebody knew something about this.

I think the keyboard track pad awesomeness will be restricted for the initial release and once they are happy with new features and implementation more features will come through.

I tried a passport and there's so much potential for the capacitive keyboard. I think the next step is being able to swipe from left to right to go back a page as well since right now it seems like for scroll it's only up and down. I totally think it's possible to mimic the classic trackpad behavior but the keyboard will need to be assigned a button as select to act as pressing down on the trackpad. Hope 10.3.1 brings out even more.

maybe the spacebar could be the button for trackpad selection i think it would fit in nicely.

Possibly but I see how it can conflict with people who regularly use the space bar as the page down button like I did when I browsed on my Q10 and 9900.

I'm sure BB has thought of this and purposely did not do this feature. Perhaps it becomes too confusing or since the 'trackpad' is so large, it's too easy to get unwanted device navigation.
