My Passport SE was bought used and had a few dings and a battery health of 86%. With the current sales a brandnew one is $400. Has anyone went out and bought a spare just in case theirs broke and parts are not available? Mainly looking for people with multiple Passports.

Yes there are lots of people here that have bought backup BB10 phones....

If you think BB10 and the Passport will meet your needs for a few years and $400 isn't much of an investment... go fo it.

Personally I think most here would not agree with the decision, but that doesn't matter. Its your money and your mobile needs....

I have several back ups. None are android but will consider a BlackBerry android with a physical keyboard whenever it appears!

If you're buying it for a spare, you could take a risk and see how the Black Friday or other Holiday Sales will lower the price. Just be ready to pull the trigger if the quantities get low.

My daily drivers are an OG black passport for calendars, emails and calls and an ahem iphone 6S for those media and map apps and also calls. I recently bought another black and a silver passport from BlackBerry for �252 and �305 respectively, incl shipping and UK VAT. They are nicely tucked away in a drawer

I have a black OG I bought last year. It's my favourite device. I have the priv but it's not quite ready to flip over to off the passport- but it has come a long way in a year. My primary has been my iphone 6s plus as I do have some Gsuite apps that make it easy but to be honest I think the Priv could replace the iphone while I also have a bb10 passport for major email, contacts, calendars. I just bought a SE passport mainly because I enjoy the typing on it better (easier than OG) and the look. But I really like the form factor of the OG (easier to slip in a pocket) so we'll see if I keep it. But hands down bb10 is more robust for communications including things like speed of the UI (which isn't as good on PRIV) and things like searching and managing emails.

On Amazon, BlackBerry Passport SE is currently $260. Just dropped from $283... so is that the way to go?

Any concerns? I assume Amazon is easier to deal with than BlackBerry in case you need to return

I've returned and exchanged directly with BlackBerry - it's very easy and no issues. So whatever you feel is better.

I'm nervous I'm pretty good with my devices but I've never wanted to buy a spare device, my concern is if anything was to happen to my SE idk what I'd replace my second line with!!! Tough BlackBerry is going out of business basically sad times
