I've seriously been thinking about switching to the Silver version of the Passport but am not sure if its worth the hassle. Has anyone that's done this feel like the improvements with the keyboard, build quality, etc were worth it? For the first time since it launched I don't' have any issues with my original as the double typing and screen flickering are finally gone, but the silver edition looks so nice. I refuse to have two of them but was thinking of selling my original to get the Silver. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I like the new keyboard a bit more, but unless you're OCD about having the latest, I'd save my money for the Slider - then you can wield both!

Typing & holding experience is better on the SE, due to the longer chin and the softer keys.
The SE is a LITTLE easier to pull out of tight pockets, due to its round corners.
Everything else is basically unchanged, and the looks are a question of personal preferences.
I almost liked the looks of the black better, as it was more elegant and less busy than the SE imho.
But I'm keeping the SE, as I like the improved typing experience.

Yeah that's what I'll probably do, there's just something about the silver one that attracts me to it. I'm definitely getting the slider and will probably get rid of the Passport anyway when it comes out. I just hope its sooner rather than later.

I've had the OG, At&t Passport, and now the SE. The first 2 were bought and sold within 2 weeks. I have no plans on letting the SE go.

The SE's keyboard, color, build quality, etc...keep me loving this phone more and more everyday! I absolutely love this phone!

I've been thinking about this myself. I can get the OG Passport for around $200 cheaper than the SE, but the SE just looks better to me...

I have SE. The typing experience is better than the old device . The rounded corners helps me taking the device easily from the pocket. If you prefer the looks SE is way ahead. I have experienced many people asking me what is this device. It looks more like a Porsche design. The rear camera with engraving adds to the look. Overall if you looking for the aesthetics SE is very good IMO. I don't regret about buying the SE at all particularly when launching of Slider is very near.

I've only played around with an original in-store, but during that short time, I can notice the difference in the keyboard and prefer the SE keyboard more.

I think for the small price difference, the looks and keyboard was worth it. Other slight improvements such as a supposedly stronger frame and better antenna was just bonus on top.

However, I'm not sure if the upgrades are worth it if you already have the original.

I was eagerly waiting for the Slider since I was hesitant about the Passport's form factor. But I found that it was the form factor that I like most about the Passport.

I think you're making the right decision. If I had an original Passport, I don't think I would "upgrade" to the SE as the updates are very minor. Waiting for the slider would likely be a much better choice.
