Anyone have a selfie stick that works for passport?

I want a selfie stick so I don't need to ask people for help taking pics when I am traveling alone. T^T

I've looked up online and it seems most of them only compatible with the "normal" phones within 3.4in width.

They are too small for my passport!!!

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

That said I personally haven't seen one. But I would look at ones compatible with the note series as it is the closest in width.

I'm sorry for saying it, but I really dislike selfie sticks and people who use them. So full of themselves..

Really? How so? You know not everyone uses them just to take a selfie of their mug. Some use them to get a pic of them self with a landmark etc. since they don't like to hand their phone to some stranger. Don't be so closed minded.

Yep, I have seen them in use on several occasions. Being in frame is more important than the landmark itself. I don't get it. But it's just my opinon, I'm not going to interfere with anyones love for themselves.

Was at an amusement park yesterday with the family walking alone when out of nowhere a stick come flying by nearly heading me in the face, my first reaction was to block it as to not hit me and the wife. Had no idea what had just happen when i hear the young teens crying that i damaged their phone, I guess in doing so the stick flew one way and the phone another way. We argued for a few minutes as to how was at fault when park security showed up and seen the stick. I this point i had a few folks that had seen the what happen and where on my side. Well it turns out there is a band on selfie stick at this park and security confiscated the stick escorted the guest to the gates.

Well, 10.3.1 does add camera timers, so make like Russians do:

Is there a selfie stick for the Passport?-ywgcdly.jpg

Or, find a selfie stick for a Galaxy Note or some other monstrously large phone.

What a great way to isolate your self even more from the human race when traveling alone: by carrying a telescoping stick to attach your phone to for photographs.

How about, "Excuse me, mam, do you have a moment? Could you snap a photo of me in front of this stupid statue." Boom, done.

Some use them to get a pic of them self with a landmark etc. since they don't like to hand their phone to some stranger. Don't be so closed minded.
Ask the father or mother with 3 charming kids to snap the photo next time, not the hoodrat yelling at his invisible friend and pounding 40s at 9AM. That should solve that problem.

What I don't get about the selfie sticks is that people who use them don't want to "socialize" with actual people around them but they want to "socialize" on the internet and share pictures?

Yeah, I get the fact that people don't want to hand over a $600 to a stranger... so why not by an actual camera if the landmark/event is important to you? Why do people use valet parking? Or why not put faith in people that they won't steal a phone from you, or that you can pick people better than that? I'm more afraid of being mugged than someone stealing my camera/phone because I can at least pick the person who I hand it over to, but I have no say in who decides to mug me.

Edit: but my stick holds the passport, seems to be standard sized

Cause for some its all about how many friends and likes they can get... Helll There is a member here that average around 2,000 post a month, what kind of social life could you have when you spend that much time on the computer...

Well, to be fair not everyone is a social butterfly. I'm much more of an introvert and prefer to spend time alone, chillin with my dog, tinkering with electronics, building things, playing music, doing art. But I don't do social media: don't have a facebook, twitter, any of that stuff.

So social life isn't for everyone. However, I personally think replacing a real life social life with an internet based one is quite unhealthy and does more harm then good. Just my opinion though.

Ok, we have gotten completely off topic here. Kind of ironic for all of those claiming that people who use selfie sticks are full of themselves and would rather socialize on the internet then in real life. The OP asked for recommendations on selfie sticks for their Passport NOT for anyone's opinion on selfie sticks or those that use them.

Seriously, talk about full of yourself!

OP, as suggested, look for selfie sticks for larger size phones like the Samsung Note / iPhone 6+

I don't think the front facing camera is good enough on the Passport for selfies. More often then not, the pictures turn out blurry. I'm really hoping they upgrade the front camera on the upcoming Slider.

Totally wrong. The 2MP front camera of Passport is THE BEST 2MP camera I have ever used. No blurry AT ALL. It's stable and sharp. I don't do selfie, but I know for damn sure this is the truth.

Don't agree with you on that. In my opinion, iPhone easily beats the Passport when it comes to the front facing camera. Probably the only thing iPhone is better at.

I use a selfie stick with the app 'remote selfie' it works fine with the passport on it's side and allows the use of the bluetooth shutter control.
