Many thanks TT for this. I'll check it out and report.
What I'll ask may sound silly, but how do I save that link on my BB desktop? I googled touch facebook, clicked the first option and my FB page opened. How can I save that?
Ok, dismiss my question. I found out how to do it. Thanks!
I'll give that a shot elfabio. The web experience tends to work well but I can see how people prefer apps too. I've heard of the touch.facebook.com version but haven't used it extensively myself.
There is also the x.facebook.com, they should be the same. I use this one, I think because it's shorter :D

I tried this version and unfortunately it doesn't work. However, in the end I remembered which version I had and worked flawlessly (until I decided to update it...) and I got it again and have been testing it for almost a week now. It works great!
Here it is:
Version 87. 0. 0. 7. 184
and I downloaded it from here:
https://androidapksfree.com/facebook...-apk-download/
It can also be found here:
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/facebo...7-184-release/
If you want Facebook Lite, this is the version to have, but please remember: Do not update it!!
On a relative note, both Face Pro and Touch Facebook work just fine too.
Install facebook lite.apk older version. Will work. Google it and look for 2016 or 2015 fb lite apk file, it's less than 2 mb. Quick load and quick to browse for passport. New version will be prompted, do not update. Will lag or most of the times won't open.

But the previous version mentioned (in the posting you quoted) is from 2018 and works flawless as well.

Thanks saint! On a side note, I've also become a fan of F5 for Facebook recently (in addition to my previous endorsement of Face Pro). This app is also known as Messenger in Blackberry World. It's a web wrapper and does not have Hub notifications, but is fairly smooth.
Older the better.

You can go with Facebook Messenger Lite and Facebook Lite with limited functionality.
Facebook and Messenger Lite works really well with my Passport SE

Download this one from Mr. Conite, it works: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/facebo...-apk-download/

Why would you install an app for that? Why don't you just use a browser shortcut ?

Thank you! Like this version a lot more than the Web based version! You rock! :)
PS - have been using it heavy and very seldom does it stutter and the phone does not heat up! Plus you get a proper facebook app appearance! Very happy!
The hard part is to remember not to update it! :)

I use Face10, just for viewing looks better to me when following the news line, photos take the whole screen nicely. If I like the whole bang shoot I use the browser which works fine, and I don't have any real issues with the browser either.
