I had a black and a white q10 and the white keyboard felt different, it wasnt as tight and nice to type on as the black keyboard. Does this also happen to the passport keyboard? Im not making reference to the different back feel, but rather the clickness of the keys. Thanks.

An excellent question. I am also curious whether the white and red Passport back covers have the same suede-like feel the black one does or do they have a smooth, hard feel to it.

I had two black passports on launch day. And I ordered a white one in march. The black keyboards felt a lot more rubbery and didn't make much sound. The white one feels more clicky.

Anyone have any knowledge of the doubled typing rate on the differennt colours?

I have a double typing black. I couldn't do white, but might do red.

We have over 20 Passports in our office and all keyboards 'feel' different. Some have buttons that are 'harder' to press, some are more softer, some have a more 'klick' feeling. And on top, all displays are different, some more 'green' some more 'red' and a couple have a more cool blue display. Of course all with the same color setting

I have double typing on my black passport too. Very frustrating. My mom had a double typing Q10, but I changed the keyboard and it's fine now. Definitely a hardware issue! The site I buy from doesn't have passport keyboards unfortunately.

I find the red keys smoother than the black pp I bought at launch, then they probably are from different production cycles and some changes could have been made.

I've noticed the same as well. I have a black and white one. The white one has a much more clicky feeling to it than the black one. These are the only ones I've tested so I can't confirm if others are like this. It's interesting to see another person noticing the same though.

I don't agree with this unless they used a different membrane under the keys in the later models. Red one is stiffer than any black keyboard I used... could be coincidence....

Am a reseller in Singapore selling BlackBerry Passport.

The black one have the nicest feel when typing and not much clicking sound

White one does give a louder click sound

Red one is the same as white

And if u notice the J button, the white one and red have a gap or somehow lose. For the black it's totally different
