There's a chance it was originally pegged at $750, but since then Chen & Co. made the decision for a $599 MSRP.
Until it's officially for sale, nothing is 100% certain.

Two points on that: 1) you're comparing US to CDN. US$599 should come out to around CDN$649.
2) Telus was probably well aware of what BB's MSP would be, and is willfully ignoring it.

Thats probably why it is a telus exclusive , blackberry struck a deal with telus and they unload all their shipment to them and they get to sell it a bit higher due to hype.

I am hoping that a GSM unlocked version shows up at Blackberry.com online store today at 10AM for 599.00 US? If it does, I have my credit card ready to buy one.

The funny thing is I have sent multiple request emails on the passport information request forum and I have received some data about the business security stuff, but nothing about availability or pricing of the device?

$750.00 is insane. More expensive or comparable in price to this year's flagships, but with last year's SoC. No one but the CB diehards will be buying this at $750 outright or $200 on contract.

Should have been $600 max outright. Guess I'm waiting for the BlackBerry Classic... :/

I'm a CB and BlackBerry diehard, and I am not buying this. Enough is enough. A pig with lipstick is still just a pig, with lipstick. I was super stoked about this phone, both my wife and I, and BlackBerry, in one fell swoop managed to lose two customers.

Bravo BlackBerry. You've outdone yourself.

Oh and, a quick edit, before some loser comes in here and tells me how "I'm not the target market because I don't want to pay the money", I can assure you that I am exactly on of the "niche" users BlackBerry is targeting. This device would have been most likely perfect for my work, but alas, it isn't meant to be.
