I just got back from the local AT&T store in Troy, MI and they told me the AT&T version of the Passport is discontinued. Stores can no longer order the phone. However, I confirmed in an on-line chat with AT&T that the phone can be ordered online only. Wish Blackberry would just tell us the official word on this phone. Wouldn't mind seeing a Passport with Android on it, but with BB10 type features.

The Passport was never in stores only on-line orders. As for an Android Passport, I wouldn't hold my breath.

AT&T Passport has been an online item only since it was pulled from corporate stores when it was replaced by the Priv on the new inline displays. Authorized Dealer stores are different story.

That's a shame. Still an awesome device though and will continue to be for a while longer. IMO, the AT&T variant was the best passport produced.

This from a user of a phone OS that is fading faster than BB?

I just picked one up on Swappa. I like the AT&T version for the rounded corners and the fact that they did not load it up with any of their software. I have yet to see a Passport in any variation in the wild. AT&T won't stock a year old product that doesn't sell. Moreover, I have yet to see a Priv in the wild. Whether or not BlackBerry is dead in the handset business remains to be seen, but it doesn't look good. Waiting for online Passport fire sale reminiscent of the Playbook fire sale. A shame really, so much to love about BB10. As I type on my Q10 that is still chugging along strong, I wonder if the bb10 phones will be supported for longer than two to three years?

Yes they were. I saw them in the one near me only a few months ago.

Same here. I got my AT&T Passport from an AT&T store in Miami. I would have never known about it were it not for that day it caught my eye in the store. Messed with it for about an hour and I was hooked. Such a great phone.

I'm going to be refreshing my original Passport with an ATT version. I'm looking forward to the keyboard and rounded corners.

I do appreciate the strength and design of the original though. I have dropped it so many times. The i-frame design has kept the screen nearly pristine. It has a couple hairline fractures that are hard to see.

I could use this phone for the next five years if Chen does not kill BB10 by lack of updates before then.

Don't believe it! It's not discontinued and you order it online.

Don't get me wrong: I like the Windows Phone OS. In fact, I had a Windows Phone device before my Z10. But, with no growth and no sign of support for the OS from MS, I feel it's a doomed exercise. I've even tried a beta for Windows Phone 10, and it's totally f'd up. If BB folded it phone operation, I used to think that Windows Phone was my fall back. But with the latest moves from MS concerning the windows Phone, I would rather go over to iOS.

I just bought the Silver Edition Passport from Best Buy. I'll still have to deal with AT&T, but they lost a hardware sale! I'm looking forward to using the Passport instead of my current iPhone 5s. Hope I can get 3 + years out of the device.

Complete speculation but what if MS is in the know on upcoming x86 mobile processors with ARM like power consumption? Windows Phone OS would be rendered unnecessary. an x86 device with same power requirements as a phone would be the ultimate device. Desktop replacement phone.

As long as they don't force update devices to android I don't care. Ill be using my BB10 Passport until it dies and if they haven't quit this android silliness Ill be searching for a new platform. Likely windows if they have a surface phone or x86 device out.
