I have an unlocked blackberry passport originally on att. How can I make it work on tmobile. Or should I just give up on it?

Should be able to just put a T-Mobile SIM in it....

Generally when they say they don't support BlackBerry it's the older phones that required BIS, that they aren't setting up new accounts for.

You must have the AT&T-branded SQW100-3 device. The -1 and -4 are factory-unlocked.

I figured it out. it works perfectly. there is just very minimal service where I live which is why It kept saying no service. this older att phone I assume has less antenna frequencies.

It might also be starting with the "Emergency Calls Only" sickness which Passports have been known to get.

I'm on T-Mobile and my SIM card works just fine on my unlocked BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition.

it's likely a hardware issue. the AT&T Passport model especially is known to develop an antenna issue after some time. There's no fix. I've gone through three of them myself.

One of my kids had an early XBox... it got recalled due to an issue with the boards getting hot and the solder cracking. Don't think the Passport issue reached the lemon law requirements... but it might have gotten close.

I am on a Passport using Tracfone (Which piggy backs on T-Mobile's network.)

It works on TMobile, but the Passport does not support TMobile's extended/long range 4G frequency. So you're going to have spotty coverage outside of major roads, cities, and inside of buildings.
