Does anyone know how to get my gmail contacts to show I have selected gmail contacts and setup my gmail email but no contacts showing.

Update if you get no gmail contacts to sync or any other server contacts to your device just reboot your device and wait for sync with a network connection.

Should they not just show up in contacts when you log into your gmail email.

ok 2 things , make sure u go to contacts and you have all visible eg local sim etc secondly once you sync ur gmail , u need to stay connected to wifi or data services as it will download ur contacts bit by bit i had appx 1300 contacts took about 15 mins

make sure ur contacts are listed under contacts section on ur gmail ( when u sign into ur gmail , if u click on gmail it will drop down to contacts and tasks )

I'm on my 5th BB10 device and syncing contacts, calendar and (of course) email from my gmail account always worked flawlessly. Contacts might sometimes take ~30 minutes to sync the entire gmail DB down to the phone. But at least some contacts should show almost instantly.
If you're saying you did all the right things on setup then you should tell what exactly you did, then I or maybe somebody else could help potentially.
One hint in advance, before knowing details: I sometimes felt that creating 2 different accounts (one for gmail email, another one for contacts & calendar) made contacts & calendar sync faster, but this might be an imaginary conclusion only. It should also work with one account only.

Like what they said, you need to wait for it to populate, or repopulate, for that matter.

But, if you don't see any contacts at all even after 5 minutes, something is definitely wrong.

Like what the other said, make sur e you have good wifi or data connection as well.

    Good luck.

Make sure ur contacts are listed under contacts in ur Gmail

Or else export ur Gmail contacts in csv format
    Import it to outlook
    Then start up link
Go to contacts and sync one way comp to device

Same happened here with an exchange account. Seems like you have to reboot to get the contacts to show.

Should sync be 2 way ?

My contacts only seem to synch changes made on my phone to gmail.

Changes made in gmail on my computer do not change on my phone.

When u are setting up your Gmail there should be a screen where you check mark calendar contacs.make sure it's checked.
