Hey guys. I'm the owner of a terrific BlackBerry Z10 device. I am thinking to buy a BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition soon. The problem is that I love my BlackBerry Z10 and I want to ask BlackBerry Passport owners who used the BlackBerry Z10 : - Do you feel a real upgrade from Z10 to Passport? Do you miss something from the Z10 when you are using the BlackBerry Passport?

Erm yes, it's completely different and fresh. I loved my z10, I never wanted to let it go, but this passport in my hand is a hundred times better. Honestly, it's the best, go for it

Yes, it is a great upgrade. The digital keyboard of the Z10 is superb, but the physical one of the SE as well and the SE-experience is something you'd like to write home about. ;-)

I switched from a Z10 to a Z30, and that was a pretty nice upgrade (speed, features, etc.). I then went from the Z30 to the Passport & that's an even bigger upgrade from the z30 than the z10 to z30.
Going from a z10 to the Passport will probably feel like going from a Toyota Corolla to a Maserati.

Passport is very big. You cannot use it for 1 hand as z10. Even when enter number for calling. I bought SE, and replacement is difficult for me. Z10 is handy. Passport will sticking out of his pants pocket

Oh what an improvement. I was not going to give up my Z10. That resolve lasted about 30 seconds.

If you make the switch you will never look back.

I loved my Z10 minus the battery life. I upgraded to the passport SE and have not looked back at all. But like many have said, this is not a one handed device.

The Z10 is a great device but Passport will make the change painless. One week and you will not look back.

The Z10 was, for me, a great phone but the Passport is hand down a great upgrade. Now I look at the Z10 and see a small phone.

Went from Z10 to Passport here, too. Had my Passport for almost two months now and never went back to the Zed since then!

Battery life's great, plus the big screen makes things easier to read. The touch-capacity keyboard and wide size does take some getting used to, but I personally got used to it after a week or so. Well worth the upgrade, IMO.

I do suggest anyone thinking of getting the Passport, though, to at least try out a demo unit at your phone store, if at all possible.

I love my Passport and wouldn't go back. The biggest change you will notice other than physical ones is the battery life.

I love the form factor of the Passport but I still believe the size of the Z10 was the best, it feels so good in the hand especially without a cover. Seems to be the perfect size.

Thank you for sharing your experience using the BlackBerry Passport. Now I just have to continue with my savings for 2 more months and I will get the Passport. The size is not a problem for me, I tested one once, but I wanted to hear some every day experience. I can't wait to buy it, but I am sure I'll keep the Z10 and and just play with it from time to time. .

My hands are pretty small (yes, I'm a guy with pretty small hands) but I can use the PP one-handed, except for typing on the PKB and pinch-to-zoom.
It also doesn't stick out of my tight jeans' front pockets, but I admit that with some pants it will stick out, like other big phones.

I went from a Z10 to the Passport in the spring, and wow, it was a very nice upgrade. Very fast, and didn't take too long to get accustomed to the bigger phone. The only thing I have against the Passport and I knew this from the beginning was watching videos was the loss of a 16x9 screen. The screen is gorgeous, but the screen is weird while watching a video. Otherwise with the phone, I have no complaints

I use the dictation feature from the Keyboard and it works perfectly on my Z10 if I have good Internet connection. I suppose is the same thing for the Passport. And I really want those keyboard shortcuts for opening the apps.

Beware not all the apps you use on your z10 are available for the passport! And some are just not updated to fit passport screen! Example: cineplex, Rbc, scotiabank mobile wallet not available for passport ! Some games like tetris, modern combat 4, beach buggy blitz... not available on passport!
I suggest u check that the apps you use on ur z10 are also available for passport!

Now getting used to holding a much wider phone might take a while! But you quickly get use to the wide screen! When u look back at z10 screen it looks so narrow and small!

The metal frame of passport is nice but it also makes it more slippery! I suggest a slim silicon case that has grip on the sides so you can hold it better with one hand! At first before I had the case, I was always worried it would slip off my hand ! Now I am fearless with that amazing case!

It fits all my pockets well so far with the case on! A bit heavier then z10 But feels great!

My only disappointment is that I cannot take videos in 1:1 ratio with the passport camera! It only takes videos in 16:9 ratio! That sucks big time for me! I really hope blackberry will change that with updates!

Battery life is amazing and the keyboard is fun!
It will take some getting used to, but I love it.

    Enjoy!

The z10 was a great device for me and all. The fit was perfect for my size of hand and the one handed use was "useful". If my two year upgrade wasn't due I still would've had my z10. But then I upgraded to the Passport and now know the real potential of a BB10 phone. I did miss the all-touch experience and form factor, but I feel as if the benefits were MUCH greater.

The passport is a real upgrade. It's so nice to have a wider screen. I left my z10 to my daughter and even after a short time on the passport, the z10 seems extremely small.
