    Samsung's SmartSwitch app actually works pretty good. I used it to transfer stuff from my Z10 to the S8 back when I got it. You actually connect the two with the USB cable using the provided adapter.

    It even asks for your BBID so it can transfer over your texts. I still have my texts from years ago that since transfered to my current S9.

    Are you sure you have the right app on your passport? The transfer should be done via Google drive.

    Maybe I doesn't matter, the Samsung app seem to do the trick .

    When I initially moved from BB10 to Android, there was an option to backup to the memory card.

    Yes, there is, if you choose "use another method". Otherwise Google drive is used.

    Yeah SmartSwitch is a great transfer tool as well as a desktop backup tool.....
