Has anyone on here used the device switch on Link to switch between a Q10 (or Z10) and a new Passport? I thought I read somewhere that you couldn't do it but that doesn't make sense as I know that you could do it with BB7 devices when moving to a BB10 device. Not sure it is really necessary as I plan to do a full back up and restore on the new Passport due to the many apps I have and the fact that for once it appears that I have a corrupt free device at last. Anyway, any replies are appreciated as usual and thank you!

You can do it. The issue people tend to forget is the fact some of the apps available on the Q10 are not available on the Passport, so when loaded those apps don't work right and you know, all of a sudden the sky is falling and BlackBerry is doomed because they didn't think about that. You're right though, you don't REALLY need to do it.

So true buddy! Any major apps that don't work that you have run across? I use a lot of business android apps like Bank of American, etc.

True to that...in addition, when I just switched from the Z30 to the AT&T Passport, hitting "Device Switch" brings up the option to transfer from device or restore from back up. I chose the latter with zero issues.

That's good to know. How did you get 2267 on your passport? Did you use Rob's Blitz file and add a radio? Or is there a country/carrier code that has it out already and can be loaded with Sachesi? Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

I did the same. Z10 to Passport, restore from backup with BB Link. Some android apps did not move, like tunein radio for example. Reloaded from amazon app store. Tapatalk moved over just fine.
