There's a lot of info and a slightly updated version of the app that you would need to sideload here:

OMG. I need to do this. I've been missing that game for months for some reason.

Just loaded this yesterday and I have been traveling back in time to my Sega genesis, Snes and game boy advance years. Great!

Hey I downloaded Retroarch via Snap. I also downloaded Super Mario World and a couple other ROMS, they startup fine but the controls do not work. The only button that seems to work is the H key which just reset's the game. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong if that is the case?

I've had this same problem for a while. Then, after installing a couple of different versions, i was able to map the keys, but after quitting the app, it 'forgot' the config. Was a couple of months ago though, don't know if there are any new versions out.
I'd sideload the BB10 version instead of the Android version. That'd give you better compatibility.
Try search for version 1.0.2.96 somewhere in this forum, I think that's the best version for bb10. You can also map the key to your preferences.

I downloaded the retroarch, but I don't know how to set it up e.g. how to load core and load a game rom.
Any one can provide a step by step on this?
Thanks.
