Lookin for a car stereo, that is compatible with my Passport, single din, with a detachable hd 7' screen, on amazon, any suggestions? I hate how everything seems to be android powered, if there are any non-android powered ones that would be preferable. Any suggestions? If not, does anyone have a Pyle brand stereo? They are the only ones claiming BlackBerry compatibility, would prefer to hear from someone who has one and knows for sure that it does before spending 200 bucks.

Actually, that's what I thought too then someone on here mentioned that their Passport wouldn't connect to a car stereo they had through bluetooth, which is why I am asking if anyone knows of any that for sure will work before droppin a couple hundred bucks on one that might not

I have a JVC which interacts well with the Passport, although it is not detachable or touch screen.

Go shopping at a some stores that have working head units on display and try it out.

It's the only way to be sure.

FYI, I have a 2012 Hyundai Veloster with a Windows powered HU and it works fine with my Passport. It also worked fine with my Z10 previously.

My passport connects fine with my Alpine deck via BT and I can also search the phone through the deck itself.

I'll second this comment. Are you in the US? If so, head on over to crutchfield.com

They have a number of good Alpine decks. Mine is a single DIN but does not have a large screen. They do have them in versions where the video screen slides out horizontally and then flips down.

Passport. If people understood how good this device is....

My stock stereo from my 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer interacts beautifully with BB10 devices. I wonder if QNX is involved....

Yes Crutchfield is a great source that's where I got my Alpine deck from and it came with a free mounting kit.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I ended up not having as much cash as I thought I would so I spent 100 less and just picked up a Sony Bluetooth Receiver from WalMart, which actually works rather well with the Passport. Took a gamble and it paid off! Now to see if I can hook my PlayBook up to it (was having trouble getting the Passport to connect at first, til I opened Smart Tags and tapped it to the dial, but that was before reading the instructions and finding out how to enable pairing from the head unit).

Edit: Have hooked up my PlayBook to it, also fashioned a mount out of brackets and wire, so it functions as my desired 7" removable touch screen unit.
