    Hi everyone,

For about a week my Passport started draining battery very fast. Without even doing anything, standby seems to drain the battery. Before this, I used to get two days. Now it takes about 12 hours. I did not install any new apps. Here is a screenshot of device manager. Any advice is appreciated.

Yes. Several times. Also tried letting the battery drain completely. Nothing worked.

I thought maybe software update is coming 10.3.3. Sometimes the phone behaves like this before software update. But does not seem to be the case. BBVE says battery is healthy.

Uninstall the most recently installed app.. .likely, a Google or Amazon app.

Lol, welcome. Which app was it, if I may ask?

Also bare in mind, most Amazon apps aren't set to actually turn off when they're closed... unlike blackberry apps that DO turn off when closed. You can set individual settings on amazon apps and choose to "disable while closed" which SHOULD turn them off and save battery power, but not always does it work that way.

Thanks for the pointer. I am not entirely sure which app was the culprit. I deleted several Android apps that had recently been updated, including Skype from Google Play (that was most likely the one) and Kindle from Google Play (the one from Amazon seems fine).

I think the gmail app is been the culprit on my phone. I am going to delete it, and go back to using the native BB email from the hub

    Thanks.

Ohhh. I have the same problem. The PP's battery goes down to 4% when under full data from 12noon to 8PM. And I have several Android Apps installed. I guess I'll have to rethink my Android App priorities and make sure to keep what should be kept. I have viber, spotify, swarm, and several Android mind games. Hmmm. Will remove some of these and observe. Thanks OP for bringing this up.

I always try to use the blackberry store before I resort to Google store. Some apps are fantastic from Google, but most are horrendous in every way, including battery consumption
