Yes, I use it, been retired now a short while so not as heavy as at one time but browse FB and Crackberry much more than when at work. I find Crackberry uses battery quite heavily for some reason.

No you don't get two days with constant heavy usage. I'll be the first to say the battery life is amazing, but you don't get more than 24hours with heavy use, not even the specifications list give you that kind of durability.

Unfortunately it seems your definition of heavy use is not universal.

Still for an average user these times can definitely be reached and it does blow other phones away!

I get two days with moderate to heavy use. Both wifi and cell service with data - LTE. Very happy with the battery life.

I do really heavy use, browsing, facebook, crackberry etc, and I get about 10-12 hours. On the z10 I have to run through two batteries in about 10 hours

On my Q10, I've gotten 2 full days of sporadic email checking and Facebook, along with a total of 80 minutes of mobile hotspot use for my car's streaming music. All without charging. I was left with 21% battery in the end.

These threads just serve to highlight the disparity between our addiction and/or the awesomeness of our life outside our devices.

I can maybe get around 18 hours,.. dammit.

This is my reality. Agree 100%. I can squeeze a good 24 hours, including 5 of sleep (standby on my night stand) with one charge. Maybe more. It's just so great.

I hope to get a charging dock (cradle, stand, whatever you want to call it....) eventually as I like to see the clock displayed while in bedside mode. This only appears to work when it is 'plugged in' charging. I tried downloading a great app I used to use on Android called Dock Plus but it does not work. I have Snap and tried to load it through that.... oh well...I like seeing the time and weather on a display while docked next to my bedside at night.

If you want to know the exact hours,
Minutes and seconds you use your device then take a look at

Check out Power Tools in BlackBerry World! You can find it at http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/40723891

In the daily usage screen it gives the total hours used every day.

IMO, the battery still has to settle with all the apps loaded onto it, contacts, and settings. As much as I'd like to believe that everything just goes in and should run at 100% I don't think it does until it's had a few days to settle down from constantly having to hit the cpu on the phone with massaging which apps to have on the phone, settings, etc.. My z30 did the same for the first week and after that I could easily get by without having to charge it for minimum 18 hours.

For a reference point it would be good for people to put up some specs on what they have on the PP, ie.

    4 email accounts, 1 work, 3 personal
    FB, twitter, Linkedin,
About 2000 text messages restored from my SMSbackup

2nd day and I'm getting about 10 hours but I'm not concerned yet. I'm still adjusting to what apps I should have and on the lookout for Passport updated apps which I want but am waiting for.

It will all be good. The display is fantastic and I love Blend, it saves power and I certainly consider it a power app for now.

Well, first real day with it, and can say it's been better than my old Q10.

I have 7 email accounts with a bit of forums monitoring.
