My Blackberry Passport works fine in N.Y.C but here in Yonkers I'm getting no phone or Internet despite all the so-called Tower improvements! Very frustrating-I have to carry a flip phone to make or get calls.

90% of the time it says "Emergency calls only"!

Perhaps you should complain to T-Mobile since their network seems to be the issue
Yeah, I just switched from T-Mobile after a two-month trial run. Their service was great in major metro areas, but disappointing everywhere else.

Is it an at&t passport or a factory unlocked one? And do you have roaming enabled?

Unlocked passport from Amazon and roaming is on

Unlocked PP I use all over the world but still have s***y att service in (northern) Westchester Co., NY. It's the individual towns' tower restrictions, nobody wants to see them from their back yards.
Ahhh okay that makes sense. I'm further upstate and I can see the towers as I drive home from work. Honestly, doesn't bother me

I got a text from T-mobile regarding a planned system upgrade from
7pm (east coast) on 1/21 until 3pm on 1/22. Maybe signal strength will improve on Monday?
Was at cross County Shopping Ctr-an outdoor mall-No phone or internet!!!Went to T-Mobile store there. Tried new Sim Card but still no phone or internet.

Welcome to the world of TMobile. Complain, complain, complain. Use @tmobilehelp on twitter. I firmly believe in the squeaky wheel concept.
I think this is a problem with the passport, not necessarily T-Mobile. There are about four threads on this intermittent signal issue.
I was sitting in a T-Mobile store the other day and it was saying emergency calls only and locked on to a ATT tower.
