Sound is lowered to the half.

Hey BlackBerry. Please do us a favor. Next update take the sound completely away. Just give us led and vibration. Why sound right?

Lol. I missed two calls already and all whatsapp notification. Why did I upgrade? 10.3.0. was just perfect.

Ahah sound is so 2011, in 10.3.2 they switch off the screen completely, we'll have the led only, communicating in Morse Code! Ahaha

Same problem! Blackberry should really fix this soon. As many people have mentioned before, I have already missed several messages and BBM's.

I updated yesterday, and honestly, the Passport is PLENTY loud for the ringer, notifications, and alarm clock. (Trust me, I was rudely awakened by it this morning even though I had was wearing ear plugs.)

Maybe it's less loud than before, but if previously you had it set beyond the 10.3.1 max level, you were annoying the hell out of everyone around you.

Classic has the same problem. In the beginning I thought it is due to the hardware but since moving my PP to 10.3.1 I know it is the OS.

All sounds are coming with reduced volume. Also the keyboard clicks. Annoying.

    Posted via CB10
Here's how to fix the keyboard clicks at least.

The profile level settings & app settings are now different. When you select "customise app notifications" it allows you to adjust the volume of each app's notification individually; this includes email accounts, BBM & text messages. This has worked for me as prior to doing this, most of them were at half volume.

From about 40% volume to 0% volume, the sound is almost silent. It only starts to become audible at 40%.

Sounds like they just pushed the update out with bugs to meet their target release date.

Phone Q10, os upgraded to 10.30 on 20 March.
I have faced many problems after the update. The volume is barely discernible, have missed many calls, even
when the volume is cranked up to the maximum.

Display: The display has gone haywire, the phone opens with a hugely enlarged screen with fonts over half an inch big
It requires repeated pinching in to see the screen correctly, even then the bottom remains out of sight

Touch sensitivity: The upgrade has messed up the touch sensitivity completely. The bottom left of the screen in particular, it takes 5 to 10 "presses" to activate any process.

A lot of Blackberry hoopla but a total disaster for this Q10 user. I know from Twitter that others are facing the same problem.

Blackberry's response? Contact my wireless provider ! Their arrogance which all but sunk the company still remains.

I have used Blackberry for 12 years, if this cannot be resolved I will take the plunge to Android once and for all. (I already have an LG Optimus which is my second phone)

Blackberry is not bothered at all, they think that by ignoring the problem all the Q10 users will "upgrade" to the Classic

What they do not understand is that I will most certainly not do this - I will "upgrade" to ANDROID.

Blackberry has messed up my Q10 completely, from screen size, to sensitivity, to volume, it is 10 steps backward.

Does NOT work on my Q10, the sound is barely audible and I now depend on vibration mode.

I've also noticed a drop in sound level with the update to 10.3.1 (on my Passport for all of you purists out there), but more ominously, I received an OTA update from EE in the UK a few days ago, and some of the screens shown on the other posts in this thread just aren't there on my phone. The currently installed version is 10.3.1.1581, although I've seen other posts referring to .2270 and beyond. Is this an issue? Have I got the right update? Will all this get fixed when I have the right software?

One other 10.3.1 issue - when the phone rings, if I accidentally hit the side volume control button when getting it out of my pocket, the sound stops and the volume shows mute. Even if I push the button again (u, down or center, no difference), the sound stays off. I hadn't noticed this before - is this a 10.3.1 issue or is there a setting somewhere that controls this behavior?

Some people have notes that MP3 files selected as ringtones don't experience the volume reduction.
I haven't tried this myself as I'm still on 10.3.0, and waiting for all bugs to be ironed out before updating to 10.3.1, but maybe you guys should try it.
Just use MP3 ringtones and notifiers from a free app, or maybe the Zedge android app.

I will just chime in that I have noticed the sound decrease in every aspect (alarm, radio, music, ringtone, etc) on my passport since I updated via AT&T 2 days ago. Just hoping the higher the number of people acknowledging the problem will result in a faster fix. Other than that I like the updates for the passport that I have "discovered" so far.
