    iOS "multitasking" is set up so as to not require user input. Background apps go into standby and so are not supposed to require user intervention to preserve memory and battery. The exceptions are GPS and VOIP apps, which always run. So yes, it's not ideal, but there really any impact of having many apps "open".

    The phone should be available to everyone, regardless of carriers. Blackberry do something about it!

    Unfortunately BlackBerry gave AT&T the U.S. exclusive. Looks like we Verizon customers will get the Classic instead.

    Same as I. I refuse to leave open any apps that I'm not currently using. It's almost instantaneous. Some part of me just says 'no!, close that app now!'

    Same here, too. I suspect a lot of us are like this.
    When the sample passport pictures were released with six open active frames, I was screaming for the apps to be closed! Lol
