I connected my passport to my computer this morning and got a pop up saying software update is available. Ok I update after the reboot the PP is set to factory settings?!! what gives? All my apps that I have set up and email accounts are gone. Is there a way to get the phone back to pre update status? Is this going to happen every time I have a update from BB. I'm new to this OS as I was a previous iOS user.

Did you run a backup? I'd check the backup section of BlackBerry Link and see if you have one

And no it doesn't normally do that, something probably went tits up

Thanks for the quick response. I did have a back up from a week ago so I was able to get the phone back up minus things like home screen wall paper. I'll make sure I have a recent update on file before making updates in the future. Still loving this OS and phone!
