    Hi Everyone

Can someone confirm with me that the newer batches of the original black passport have a softer keyboard (similiar to the SE version)? I like the color and form factor of the original passport, but did not enjoy the stiff keys at all.

    Thanks so much!

The one I just got which is dated Dec 22, 2014 - has a softer keyboard than another black I had (which keyboard was defective and the keys were coming off but the sound of the keys were embarrassingly loud and hard as hell to press they hurt fingers) and is quieter than the SE I had (which I returned). I think the SE was slightly easier to press(not but much really) but I am sooo happy that I ended up with a black with such a soft and quiet keyboard because I love the form factor over the SE.

I am thinking about getting the black Passport. Where did you get yours from?

And what was the manufacture date on the box? I'm reading on another thread that there are some 10 month old black Passports still being doled out.

My mum's 1 year old black PP has softer keys than my few months old red PP. Might also be a long-term use thing.
