I've held off on giving the Passport another shot (I think I got rid of mine before giving the keyboard a proper chance) but have been waiting to get my hands on the AT&T version. Since it launches the 20th I think I'll have to give it another chance. The price is a little high ($649 off contract) but I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the AT&T one as I think the curved corners look much nicer. Not looking forward to the AT&T bloat or branding but I think its too nice looking to pass up.

Anyone else going to pick one up over the older one with the sharp corners?

Gonna stick with the one who's dimensions were based off a real Passport.

I don't like the curved edges, but will withhold judgment until I can feel if they (and the extra lip on the bottom) actually improve the device comfort.

I hope AT&T will put a few in stores at least for the first few months.

I'm so tempted by the round corners but I'm on a Z30 right now and love it so I have to pass. I hope you enjoy it though!

I'm gong to order it. Could care less about the corners, just not willing to pay $500+ for a phone, don't care what brand it is. Company pays for my service each month.

Bigger question now is will the cases/holsters for the original Passport also fit the AT&T model?!

I doubt they will. The device itself is a bit taller due to that extra chin at the bottom.

I'm getting one. I have a Night Ize case for the Z30 that should do for now. My Z30 doesn't pick up LTE bands in DC. The Passport will. This will give me a primary and backup phone.

That's one of the reasons I want to move away from the Z30. I'm sick of not getting LTE with AT&T.

If anyone's wondering about the difference between the two:
    • Corners
    • PMA charging (AT&T only)
    • AT&T gains Band 29, loses Bands 8, 13, 20
    And that's it.

AT&T Passport is a great lead for BlackBerry for the Q10 successor.
Like I read on the forum, it could be interesting for BlackBerry to redesign different variations of the Passport since they have created a new format in the world of smartphones.

AT&T Passport (SQW100-3) loses Verizon (13) and the EMEA/Asia roaming bands (20/8), but has improved aggregation with pre-existing frequencies (29), so domestic LTE should be faster.

Right, I was just reading up on band 29. Damn,.. now I wish they would release an original shape SQW100-3.

I will , but first I do want to hold one in my hand first. Checked with two corporate stores in omaha, ne. Both said they did not have a display at this time or if they were going to get one at all. I then did a chat on line with att rep and she said the stores will have a display. My guess not on February 20th

Verizon's hardly gone back to black. There is no current release date for the Passport on Verizon and it doesn't look to be coming any time soon.

Yes, I'll be there when the store opens.
I think the rounded corners makes it lose it's distinct edge (^pun) in the market, but the extra half centimeter of chin is very important because IMO it makes the phone less top heavy. Even though I've gotten used to the keyboard, the only gripe I have is with the space bar because my thumb catches the bottom edge of the device. Also, I stopped using the space bar to take pictures because pressing at the bottom moves the device towards youi and makes the already bad focus more difficult. I'm hoping this extra size makes it a bit more balanced in the hand.

I know a big difference is design and curved corners but I'm surprised nobody is craving wireless charging. If my white pp can be fitted with wireless charging, it'd be even more solid.
