Really. And this is a surprise. I watch youtube videos all the time. I knew buying the phone that a 1:1 screen would letterbox a video. Doesn't bother me. Video is almost as big as a ip5 turned in landscape. I know as I compared one. Great thing is I don't need to turn my phone all time which is what bothered me most about the slab phones.

Even a die hard iphone user friend said the videos looked good on the passport when comparing to his ip5

You can do it using FastTube, but I suggest you don't. Almost every video is 16:9, you'd be missing a lot of content.

The screen is square. Video....isn't.

Basic geometry dictates the 3 possible outcomes:

1: Include all video leaving blank space on top an bottom.
2: zoom video out to fill screen top to bottom but cut off the sides of video.
3: stretch the video vertically to fill the screen but make it a fun house mirror effect.

Any Q10 / 9900 etc user would have the same issues.
