I was told that none of the AT&T stores in San Antonio will carry ANY Blackberry products. It was suggested that I might look at Best Buy Mobility for an older model if I wanted one of THOSE phones. Sales Rep (store manager) told me that they shall not be carrying any Blackberry models at AT&T San Antonio.

I went on the AT&T website and you can find the Passport and click on check in store availability and it will show you which stores have stock. There were two within 20 miles of my house and I called one of the stores and asked if they had a display model and if they had stock. Went in and came out with the Passport that day.

I did an in store check for the Classic just for fun and most corporate stores have the Classic while select corporate stores have the Passport. The smaller resellers will not have the AT&T Passport. You'll likely have to go to a corporate store.

My advice = check on the AT&T website then call whatever store shows that they have stock prior to going there. Hope that helps.

LOL... looks like you beat me to it. Thought it would be odd that nowhere in San Antonio carried the Passport considering my location and experience!

That's what happens when one anti-BB manager tries to speak for the company.

I can just imagine that manager with his dual setup of an iPhone 6 and new Galaxy S6 edge.

"I am a manager of a cell phone store. I am so very well informed of the best mobile operating systems and newest handsets. This BlackBerry you speak of is ancient and dead. It has no use (even though I've never tried it). Please go to Best Buy, wireless peasant.

Before you leave, are you sure you don't want to try the iPhone? It has this incredible new technology they invented called NFC."

But here's the kicker: a good number of people here in the forums believe this is BlackBerry's fault. Yes, even an ill-informed store rep (or in this, case, a "manager.") Everything wrong with the carrier stores' sales culture is BB's fault--"BlackBerry should get out there and train them." To do what, not speak out their ***?

The peeps at my store don't hate BlackBerry. They just never see a rep and thus never learn about the phones.

When I was in sales, if I didn't hit the field, my numbers showered it no matter how good my pipeline was or how strong my company was as well and I covered three states.

Most likely the AT&T store was an authorized retailer and not a company store! Those guys will say anything to sign up a new line!

Yeah, he was sneering at Blackberry the whole time. This was the store at the Forum in Selma. He was using his Samsung Note 4 that they had all been issued. My problem is Classic vs Passport. I don't play games, I do read sometimes, I use my phone for calls, texts, email, and internet.

Actually the other way around. Cspire execs told me BlackBerry used to be very arrogant and the carriers weren't too sorry to see them fall behind. they know its a new and better team but BlackBerry has to bring something new to the table. I don't think you guys know the animosity towards BlackBerry and much of it was caused by BlackBerry.

No surprise as the dynamic duo thought they knew more than the customers and ignored them.

And keep in mind Cspire was a great customer as they were excluded for a long time from new phones like iPhone and others because of exclusivity deals.

    That's what I thought too...
Was shocked when I looked up the store:

So much for attempting to get one at AT&T-april-26-2015-30301-pm-edt.jpg

You should call att to complain
