Yes absolutely easy with device switch. Here's a bit of procedural advice,im an old pro.
1). Only sync contacts and calendar. DO NOT EVER sync application data as that will mess up the os and you'll get os issues.
2) On your computer plug both devices in via data cable, bblink will recognise both devices.
3)Make sure you have set in the default account settings "bblink-(comp id) after you do the initial sync.redo another sync after you have set up default settings on the passport.

I switched from Q10 to Passport just follow BlackBerry Link instructions pretty straightforward with no issues on the transfer.

I personally have all my contacts saved to my gmail account with no contacts saved locally on the phone or on my SIM card. That way you have access to them anywhere anytime.

Yep but can't move them back to older OS. I had that problem with Z30. Make sure you keep your Q10 backup just in case....
