Just takes a bit of technique and a medium size hand.

Yeah, it might be possible but is it practical? Honestly I don't understand this while one hand thing. Perhaps lots of people do it, but I hardly ever typed one handed on my Z10. I had a Nexus as well and didn't type one handed. There are a bunch of things you can do with one hand but at least for me I can't recall ever doing too much typing with one hand or one thumb for that matter. Am I in a minority here?

When it comes to typing I usually use both hands but almost everything else is one handed

It's stressful cause you gotta maneuver and you could possibly drop the phone while stretching out your thumb annoying but not gonna make me stop using my PP, I got a q5 and z30 for some reason the q 5 is better then the z30 lol

Yeah, in a pinch I can type single handed too. It's slow, but the predictive text helps to compensate a bit. It's definitely an exception though to type one handed. It's very much a two handed device.

I can do it and so far so good no drops. Not as easy as on Q10 however it's not a normal occurrence a although I navigate a lot one handed with ease on passport I much prefer to use two hands.

Don't have one yet but this is VERY good to hear. I have large hands. And like someone said above it would only be for very quick replies. One day I will be an owner.

It is but it's still a colossal pain

Two hand typing was never an issue for me because whether on the iphone or Q10, since about 95% of the time I always typed with both hands.simply faster

It's the gestures that get mega annoying.
Holding your phone in the right hand and want to click the icon in the top left corner? Bit of an uncomfortable reach

I was never able to type properly with one hand, even on my Z10. I need two hands to type and the Passport is perfect for that. I hated typing on my Z10 or any other slim phone.

You'll be fine, typing with one hand.

I've done every text message, email, one handed. But then, I have no choice.

Can someone please make a video of how you type one handed? I don't think it's possible unless you have like really HUGE hands.

Not with my hands! But for me, it's a good thing. The only time I type one-handed is when I'm in the car, and that's a horrible habit (and soon to become a very expensive one, too). So not being able to do it is a positive for me.

One thing for sure - the Passport completely changes how one communicates. So far, I like it.

I have always used two hands/thumbs to type on my phones - even back in my Torch days. It never occurred to me to use only one had to type.

I feel like people just want to text and drive. When I drive I text with two hands but I only text on a red light that just turned red. Other than that I don't really text AND drive.

What is that?! That my friend is my BlackBerry Passport.

In Toronto that will still get you a pricey ticket, and demerit points.

One handed typing is nice for when your other hand is carrying something and you need to reply quick or similar situations. You have your crying baby in your arms etc. Certainly not a necessity but nice to be able to do at times.

Yeah, I hit the mic button and speak into my Passport. She types out what I say.
That is technically one handed use.

Does that actually work because the assistance is not very well on my Q10. It is more of a Hassle to even attempt using the mic for a text message. It is like a start and stop. You have to keep hitting the mic button.
