I am missing something or is there not an option for simple password on the passport.
The only setting I see is for picture password. I just want the big number pad to come up?
There is even a reference to this on the blackberry help blog, but my simple password option is not there.

That's because you don't have a Z10 or a Z30. I believe simple password is only a touchscreen option.

Why would you need it when you have the numbers right above the KB when entering the password?

It was necessary on all touch devices as they would bring up the full VKB when entering and the numbers were very small. I used simple password for 2 years on my Z10 and haven't missed it for a second on my passport.

This is lame. There should be a way to have only (large) numbers on the screen to unlock if your password consists only of numbers.

I totally agree and while their at it they should implement it on the Classic too (The Classic doesn't even have a number pad on the screen)
