I've been swapping between a red passport and classic. I never use cases.

The colder weather makes holding the red passport super easy to slip out of your hand. More so than normal which is always slippery.

Is the Silver SE edition better for grip? Is it easy to hold whilst on the phone?

Very tempted to get one for the posts about improved typing and if easier to grip than my Red edition, that will make me order!

It's way better for grip compared to the other versions, in no small part thanks to the back which is the diamond weaved rubber. Plus, the carved out edges make it easier to hold as well.

Not at all. It has enough grip on hand.

Thanks Bla1ze! Are you ever tempted to go back to using the SE or is it Priv only for now?

I think this will help me pull the trigger

I use a seidio case and it has a nice tactile feel, I just want the extra level of security and I have dropped it twice despite being Uber careful.

Each to their own I guess?

I still have my SE active, so essentially I use both. There's a lot to love about BlackBerry 10 that just isn't going to ever make its way to Priv and as I've said before, the SE Passport is the best Passport that was made IMO.

It is not so gripy, neither the back nor the metal! I bought a oem leather flip case and it is better grip and is protected too!
