The Silver Edition Passport is out of stock on shop blackberry. Will they restock and can I hope for a boxing day discount? Also, with the blackberry company being what it is, is it a good idea to get one now??

Should have mentioned I'm in the UK, and most stores have it at over �400.

I'd be surprised if they didn't stock more of them, and BlackBerry isn't going anywhere anytime soon, so I'm not sure why it would be a bad idea to get one.

Though if you're holding out hope for major apps to arrive in BlackBerry World, then you're probably going to be very disappointed. But it's not like BlackBerry is going to stop supporting BlackBerry 10 anytime soon. We just got a software update yesterday...

Come on guys the world is a global marketplace. Be so kind as to mention the country when suggesting stores that have global presence please? For example, Staples in Canada does not carry Passport Silver Edition.

Did you even go to the Staples site? It's there for 699 unlocked. They have a few BlackBerry phones and often have good prices.

I do get the whole app gap issue. But what I get is if the Priv does well then BB10 might be abandoned, and if it does not the entire hardware business will be abandoned as well. Not to mention the app gap or the price (for same price there are better phones). For such bleak possibilities, why would you genuinely advice a person to pick one up?

The PPSE seems to be getting a lot of buzz lately, being possibly the last BB10 device. Production could be low, because of fear it's popularity would compete with sales of the Priv.

I was hoping to pick one up, so I hope production picks up and continues.

How do you find the keyboard? If you've used the original black keyboard before, do you find the silver edition keyboard softer? Some people either love it or hate it.

I went from the black to red to the silver.
By far the red was the worst keyboard and the silver the best.
Silver is softer and better feedback. The keys don't feel as stiff. There's no light bleed through the silver one as I had with the red one.
