I really think it is something related to 10.3.2.2474 - my system usage is 53% over the last 48 hours. What is it doing?

This does seem to be common with 10.3.2.

We need better granularity in the Device Monitor app, in particular a breakdown of what aspect of "System" is being such a CPU/battery hog when we see "System" high on the utilization list.

Android apps, BTW, are common battery hogs. And if you don't do a "cold" reboot, they may continue to haunt you because the Android VM is not re-initialized in a "warm" reboot.

Warm reboot: Hold power button down, click "Restart" button at lower right.

Cold reboot: Hold power button until device says "Turning off in 3-2-1..." Let the device fully power-down, takes a minute or so. Hold power switch to re-start.

You may be surprised by how many Android apps run at device startup, and this is a common problem. Also, various BB10 native apps can run in the background. I will typically revoke the "Run in Background" permission for such apps unless I really need them to run in the background/headless.

10.3.2 now provides a limited set of Android app permissions control, you can also try to revoke the "Run when minimized" permission on Android apps.

Wasn't there an app which could show you which apps; includig Androids are running and make the die or stop?

Just read about a screen protector on a Xperia phone, that used to use up more batterie juice - I have the BlackBerry original one, hope that works out fine, anybody having others?

I was facing the battery discharge issues after the o.s update. then removed the android music apps and now battery is back to normal now. I need not to charge it daily any more. 1 and half days with continuous net usage is normal now

Makes sense, common problem. Glad you got it resolved on your device.

I have bought a BB Classic just two weeks ago and immediately updated to 10.3.2.2876. I have no issues with battery use, either from System or Android apps. For example, I run Skype for BB, from Amazon AppStore. I have denied Skype to run when idle. It only trickles at < 1% when minimised.

Whatsapp for BB truly idles when minimised, even without explicit denial to run when minimised.

I go through a typical day with moderate interaction (OK this is not a quantitative indicator of use), with about 40% battery charge left. Currently, 39%, which is at the end of my day about (00:26), which started at around 09:30 (a Saturday. I don't do early).

    Cheers

So I am having this same issue of sudden battery drain starting last week. I am running 10.3.2.556 (AT&T USA) and have not had an update in quite some time. So I don't think this is the answer to my battery drain. But I am so frustrated with it. Usually with moderate usage I can easily go a day and a half but now I can't even go all day without recharging. Also it is hot.
