    Setup grief-untitled.jpg

    Hiya folks

With apols if this has been done to death elsewhere (I have looked without success) but I cannot work out how to get past this setup message* in BlackBerry Link using Windows 10.

I have exhausted all the setup tutorials I think.

I have also had good connectivity with Link already & have been able to load Bar files etc using link and the chrome add in.

Is this a W10 issue or am I being a dumbass in some way? Or both?

    Best wishes

*setup hasn't been completed for the connected BlackBerry device. Disconnect your device and finish setting it up..... etc

Remove your device from BlackBerry link, and plug it back in.

Your phone is fully setup, and LINK doesn't show it as being setup?

There are issues with LINK and Windows and other programs.... Might do a search here and take a look.

    Itunes fix.
    Reinstalling LINK
Someone even recommended some USB setting changes.

But I'd start with rebooting both

I had such trouble quite a while back... finally uninstalled the whole BlackBerry Suite and started over... worked

    Thanks guys

No luck with those approaches but I'll keep hammering away and report back if anything changes. Darn thing.

I had to uninstall the BlackBerry Suite completely several times and reboot before reinstall. Downloaded fresh copy too. It was a pain, but it finally worked.

Grrrrrr. Not an uncommon problem and I'm working through suggestions.

After repeat reinstalls and removals using CCleaner Link remains convinced Setup isn't finished. Phone tells me Setup is finished until I try and connect to Link at which point it starts prompting me to finish Setup.

Am going to try the one where you ignore Hub Setup prompts for a few days until it forcibly reboots at which point you re-do the Setup. Problem there is phone usually crashes every other day.

Failing that i'll do the one where you toggle all the frickin Setup settings. When that fails I suppose I reinstall everything. What a bore.

No issues whatsoever with Link or Blend.

Whew, at last. I repeatedly hit 'Snooze' when the phone prompted me to complete setup. Eventually I got the longed for compulsory restart screen. Post-restart I plodded through every startup tutorial again including the couple hidden under the Help section.

The phone is now working with Link and having unprotected intercourse with my laptop, yay!
