Certainly an option. But I wouldn't trust BlackBerry with any of their first generation products so a better option is to not to be an early adopter, wait it out with your Passport before making a decision. Yeah the resale value of Passport may drop significantly but I could also use my Passport as my backup device

Keep the Passport. I think it's an overall better device. I wouldn't want to be beta testers for the slider.
The slider looks nice but if it's like the 9800 the KB is too cramped for my liking.
If it comes as an android, DON'T. If it's a BB10, go for it. That's what I think.
There's a reason you went for a BlackBerry in the first place, why should you go and get another android now?

Passport is unique, keep it.
I'd think about the slider, but it will be months after release. I love my PP.

Love my Red Passport...no way I'm trading that in for a Slider. As someone pointed out...its a unique phone.

Yeah I love BB10, but I'm afraid that with an Android slider, bb10 will slowely die because developers won't make new apps for BlackBerry World anymore... I mean, apps are already lacking, if blackberry itself doesn't support his OS, how developers could ?

The currently running BB10 with an android runtime to access android apps without slave connection to Google play services is more than enough for me to cover the app gaps. Furthermore, what's available in the BlackBerry World is sufficient to cater my productivity needs of for my business.
If only BlackBerry would market their existing devices better instead of playing fire with the pathetic blandroid.

Not me! I will never sell my Passport! Its the best BlackBerry I ever owned! The only way I would retire it, is when a newer Passport hits the market with more ram and higher spec camera and of course a newer processor. But thats me, I am sure some people will love the slider if BlackBerry does it right

I think the passport is nicer
but you need to see the slider in person and test it to know for sure
but the passport is a great phone
Do you have an exact release date on the slider that has you itching to sell off your Passport?

What if that second generation Passport is running Android?

I won't buy it.

Its android. Would you trade a days battery life for a 4 hour life slider?

I have the same doubts with you but I think that I will stay with the passport because I like much the wide screen - and keyboard! -
I think it will be hard for me to go back to a traditional slab phone, even if it's a blackberry and an interesting device such as the slider.

No. If I sell my Passport for anything, it will either be a Silver Edition BB10 or whatever version they get to run Android.
What? They're totally different phones.
You know what, never mind. Since you're asking a forum what you should do, I suddenly feel empowered to make an altogether different suggestion.
So, here's the deal, since you're asking - I suggest you go all the way back to a RIM pager and forget about both the Passport and the Venice / Slider.

Keeping my SE.
