Since Android runtime is merely an emulator running on top of QNX OS on Passport, how secure is it to run security/Antivirus Android apps on Passport compares to those native Antivirus apps? Will the Android apps automatically run itself during Passport boottime?

Thanks but it didn't answer my question whether should I install any antivirus or security apps on my PASSPORT. Should I especially those Android version like Kaspersky?

No point. The Android runtime is sandboxed from the rest of the OS.

If that's the case, any needs for a native Antivirus or security apps for PASSPORT?

I don't think so. There is no malware for BlackBerry as far as I know.

    Not that I've seen.

Two things to mention, all threats we've caught with secure antivirus to date are Android app and downloaded files that infect Windows PC's etc.

An Android AV can only scan the Android sandbox. A native AV can scan a few more folders and processes outside of that. The need it's individual though.
