Just finished reserving mine. I'm #100. I'm not super-desperate to get one, but when I tried it out in the Telus store today, I knew it was what I wanted within about 10 seconds. I had no issues two-handed with the keyboard and didn't find it incredibly awkward with one hand - though there was the massive security lock on it so I didn't get a decent go at it. I'm looking forward to getting it. I've always wanted a wider keyboard, but no so wide as the Z10's is in landscape. This is perfect!

Good to see I won't be needing to hope for your untimely demise ;)
But thanks for the info! I'm really liking everything I'm hearing and I'm seriously hoping they get it in right on the Tuesday so I can pick it up Wednesday! :)

Me too! I honestly think I've found the perfect phone for me. The Q10 is great, but I have always missed the gestures from the virtual keyboard. I've always played with the keyboard on my Q, pretending to do the gestures from the virtual and wishing it would work. Now it does! So excited!

I'm 110. Is that for the location or total for everywhere?
Z30STA100-5/10.3.0.1154
From what I've found its everywhere, but I honestly find that hard to believe that across Canada only 120 have reserved them :/
Z10STL100-3/10.3.0.1052
Lmao.
I bet @ 649 rogers would have been at over 1k reservations by now (they've been active since yesterday). @ 599 I'm not sure I could put it as less than 10k reservations in the first 24 hours
These numbers are coming out of my ssa, but either way.. I'm going to stay posted to this thread.
Let's see how many days it takes Rogers the reach 1k, 5k and how many reservations they get by release day.
This.
What's the surprise? I for one although I want one, will pick it up when I want it not reserve one.

Sorry, what do you mean by @649 and @599?
You mean cost?

number 12 here i think from what i remember Winnipeg
Yeah
Sorry about that, to clarify, if shopblackberry Canada's cost was 649 or 599.
599 seems low, but shopblackberry Canada and USA device pricing is usually identical. Even now, the passport is 699us and 699 Canadian.. but it's on sale for 100$us off.
Honoring the sale for Canadians shouldn't hurt.... lol California has a higher population than Canada.
& I know the Rogers price isn't listed, but because of the price gouging by BlackBerry in their home country I can honestly say I had 6 s4 users who were going to buy the device... as long as it was less than the s5 - which is 99 on contract and 700-730 off contract from carriers. These people saved up for the passport and didn't buy anything else until it came out. Found out 699 msrp & 250-299 contract price and 3 of them bought s5s immediately.
When Chen said the phone would cost less than competive devices, people thought that.. that meant less, not more.
I bought the z10 outright, another one on contract. Had to replace one because it died on the charger, the other one died as well but was out of warranty. It's my first and only BlackBerry paperweight ever.
I bought the 9000 649 which had crazy overheating problems, 9900 649 worst camera on a BlackBerry, and 9810 599 outright. I've had nearly ever BlackBerry ever release since the 7280. (not including cdma phones, the storms, torch 9860 and style)
I can't imagine where BlackBerry thinks they can get away with pricing a device this high.
Apple users line up to get bent over. BlackBerry users don't
^ pun intended, get it? Bent? IPhone 6 plus bends? Lol
Anyway, BlackBerry gave away more passports at the event than Rogers has reserved so far
And last part.. that's a very interesting point..

What I don't understand is why BlackBerry, during their "comeback release", went carrier exclusive in a deal that prohibited other carriers from even so much as advertising that they would have the device and what their costs would be. It just doesn't make sense to me :\
Z10STL100-3/10.3.0.1052
I just went to the Rogers Mobile site and I could not find the reservation section for the Passport. I even used their search with no result. Can someone give me the link!
Big Brother Hoards Your Data, stop the hoarding.
I suppose it depends on how much said carrier was willing to pay BlackBerry for the exclusivity.

Agree so much!
We have seen carrier exclusivity bite handset companies in the past, HARD (read: HTC First, Amazon Fire Phone). I wish everyone had it at the same time and it was the same kind of pomp and circumstance at all carriers for a couple of days like it was with the launch of the Z10.
This and also due to the fact that I am a Rogers customer who got put on the back order list by BlackBerry so now I am SOL.

This.. even the usa strategy of having it only available from shopblackberry for the first week would have worked better imo
