Rogers hire idiots. Best way to keep hardware and software secrets.

See, if an idi0t mans your shop, you can feed them garbage which they will gladly without argument send the message to your customers.

Just got off the phone with sales and they knew nothing but as of now it's live for sale on telus mobility site on a 2 year. I guess Rogers destroyed their relationship in the past and the backlash for delay has begun.

I called in and ordered it. They told me I'd have to pay out my Z10, which I expected. Outright price was $699, but I got it for $249 on 2 year contract.

How long will it take from Shop Blackberry? It sounds like it will take the same time as waiting for Rogers for a week.

Please clarify HOW you ordered it? I've called 5 times and spoke to quite a few different agents and they said t's not on their systems yet.We are talking about Rogers wireless right!?

I'm sorry. I am a Rogers Wireless business customer. When I call 611 from my phone, it asks me if I'm calling about my business account, and I guess I get directed to a business call center. I use my BlackBerry for both business and personal, but I choose BlackBerry mainly because it keeps me productive and efficient. I can get the apps I need between BBWorld and Snap/Amazon, and using BB just makes sense for me.

I digress. I forgot that Rogers would divert my call to the business side and their consumer side might not have all the answers yet. I didn't mean for my posts to be confusing. Sorry again.

    ROFL,
    Rep: "Blackberry Password?"
    Me: "Passport"
Rep: "Never heard of that, is it new, has it been released yet? We've been really focused on the iPhone, so I don't have any info"
Then he google it, and put me on hold. came back, still clueless and reiterated iphone was priority!

    From another thread about Rogers:
Okay finally finished to talk to reps in Ontario and bartered them down to give us a massive deal since we've been customers since '94.

It won't be available in Ontario until October 1st via Rogers, but the reservation part of their site is now updated to include it! Still no word on subsidized price, all he could tell me was it would be more fun $150 and likely in the $200-250 range.

I've been having good luck with Rogers Retention staff in terms of upgrading in the past, they're much more understanding and will get you the best offers if they think they're going to lose you as a customer, especially if you've been a customer for a number of years!
He didn't seem to know anything about the Passport and had to look it up first and then when I told him it was available Wednesday he found it and off we went. Only thing he couldn't tell me was what their subsidized price will be on plans, but for anyone interested, this I what I've found out from Rogers!

I'll be rocking my passport next Wednesday for sure and I'll be loving it.

If you haven't already ended it, I'd try talking to their Customer Retention lines, they're super helpful and basically let me upgrade 16 months early for free on two phones to the new passport! The literal only catch is that it's a week delay for the phone, but hey, it's so much simpler and I don't have to pay any early termination fees nor that extra month they charge

Okay, do you know if that's going to be same price for non-business customers? They told me between $200-$250 but couldn't clarify!

That I do know. They told me $249 for business and consumer. Of course, that could change as quickly as gas prices seem to change, so don't hold me to it. But that's what they said.

Sounds good, thanks man! That's the price range I'm thinking, makes the most sense.

My guess is Telus ups their price to $249 once the other 2 carriers get it since they said that's their promo price
