I'm sorry to ask another question. My friend just brought over his t mobile priv. He wants to wipe and auto load, my question is can he and what would be the most updated is he should use. I looked at the priv page and their are over a dozen.

Found the right one, will it remove all the bloat ware ?

On an unlocked phone, if you auto-load the OS will it remove the carrier software for easier updates?

An unlocked phone should not get any carrier bloat in the first place.

But if you do manage to remove the bloat on a carrier phone through autoloader trickery, it will just come back on the next update anyway.

Best way is to just remove the Google account off the phone, and then do a factory reset.

I stated the issue wrong, it's carrier unlocked, his updates seem to be slower. The July for t mobile is not out as of yet. So he is worried with an AT&T sim in phone. I told him it should receive the update when posted

Try hard reset before getting to deep. I bought good second hand passport last week.
Got it home and couldn't get into.
I remembered the hard reset from couple years ago.
I tried it and that was me in.
    Power, volume up and down

Then it may get caught in limbo with AT&T. Worst case is that you have to borrow a TMO SIM once a month.

Would autoloading help? Or can he autoload the AT&T version of OS. I did read on crackberry that you could call blackberry to register a carrier unlocked phone but can't find the number/thread
