    2 weeks!

    3 days!

    7 days!

    6 weeks!

Who cares how long it takes. The point is we've all learned the new keyboard style. And we all love it!

5 days in, and I'm getting good with it. At first I thought no way. But I like it.

The keyboard came naturally for me when I first test the Passport out at the store. I knew I had to get the phone after that.

At first I thought my carpal tunnel that was really bad when I had my Torch would bother me again, it was irritated for about 2 days and I somehow adapted.

I'm fast again but I do miss the 1 handed flick typing on the Z10 while half comatose on the couch at night.

Don't worry, it will get better. Now, I can't imagine ever having used a Q10 or Z10 or Z30, and I had previously thought that those phones had the best keyboards (though BB10 still has the best virtual keyboard).

I got my Passport back in September, and after a month or so, I was swiping for my words, swiping down on the keyboard to get the symbols, really just flying on it. I know it seems strange at first, to go from the four rows to the three, but it becomes second nature.

You can still flick type on the passport, just not always one handed.

I can adapt to both keyboards. The passport is great for two handed use at home. The classic is good for one handed use during the work day.

It has been fun and learning curve.

It was 10 days before I knew for certain I wasn't going to trade it for a Classic. Now I can't image using anything else.

While I do miss the 4 row keyboard and compact size of the Q10, the viewing experience of the Passport is just so much better. Plus the ability to flick type saves a lot of energy lol. Wouldn't want to go back to a less powerful phone

Yeah I remember when my Passport arrived, I'd never even touched one till it was delivered. Even being a BlackBerry loyalist I did have a bit of panic thinking what have I just done am I ready for this keypad layout and on screen virtual keyboard.
But after a few days, my friends and family were back saying "how are your texting so fast before I can even respond".

Took a couple of hours of admittedly fairly heavy texting for me to get used to the keyboard... mostly. 3 weeks in and I can't imagine going back to a cramped Curve layout. Occasionally I still keep pressing N instead of M, and accidentally swiping while dancing across the keyboard at speed but that'll pass. Even if I could never quite get used to it, it'd still be a small price to pay in return for having not just a phone but a full-blown PC replacement in my pocket.

Took me about two weeks to get pretty good at it, but I had never fully used a physical keyboard BlackBerry device before (just a Bold for a week after my wife smashed my Z10).

Anyway, the real motivator to get used to it was that my wife (a physical keyboard only user) kept saying she loved it, was so easy to type on, that I had weak baby fingers, blah blah blah and that she would gladly take it if I didn't like it.

I know, but it's not quite the same is it? Little more difficult mechanically.

Coming from a Z, it took a while to get the hang of it. I was used to flick typing a lot. A few days in it dawned on me that if I need to type then whatever I have to reply to can wait until I can use both hands.

If it something was really important and needed my reply right away then I probably would be getting a phone call instead of a text message or email... at least that's what I think. Lol
