Hi guys, long time BlackBerry user here, long time lurker.

Bought a New Passport for 300,- so a pretty good deal!
When I opened the box it was a azerty version..

First reaction was to sell it right now and buy a passport in a store for 600,- (the netherlands..) because i got to have it!
But i also thought, can i remap the Keys both software as hardware?
Software i'm pretty dure, But replace the buttons?

Has anyone any ideas how to do this?

    Thank you in advance.

My first BlackBerry passport was a qwertz (france) not qwerty so, I was searching in Google how to do the things you say. Impossible, you have to buy a new keyboard and send your passport to put the new keyboard because it's not easy for you or me to do that, and it cost a lot. So it's better that you sell that passport and buy a new with qwerty keyboard.

For your information, qwertz is used in Germany, Austria and a part of Switzerland. The standard french keyboard is azerty

As a french user, I bought two q10 in the UK so both are qwerty... It's no big deal for a phone and not as disturbing as a pc keyboard.
I use both without any trouble

Not sure about the hardware but software wise you can.

Just go to Settings > Languages and Input > Input Languages > English UK (for eg)

Hi guts, I have a qwertz version.
I mapped the keys in the software, only the y&z are switched on the hardware keyboard but they work now just normal!

    Thanks for your help!
