I received my Red Passport yesterday and everything works well so far. My only skepticism comes in way of battery life. I removed it from the charger 6 hours ago and at 68% I've got roughly TEN hours left, and I'm not a heavy user by any means. A few texts, not much time spent on apps since I've started using it... idk what the issue could be but the main selling point and a big reason I wanted this phone was for the big battery and exceptional battery life. Build quality and OS are great, keys are very responsive and the capacitive touch works well. Nothing to complain about other than the battery so far...

With new batteries you need to go through a couple full charge cycles to get the proper calibration out of them.

I suggest wearing down that battery until the indicator goes red, then do a full charge to 100%. That's a full charge cycle. Do this a couple times and your battery life indicator should show you a favorable value.

I will not get any Passport unless its Red, or a highly discounted Black (through carrier discounts). But for the full price I'd rather hunt the red one.

I am so tempted on the red passport but alas I already have the black passport. Selling the black to get the red would mean I have to take a hit on the resale value on the black.

I was just like.. woah.

I had the black one, so the size wasn't as shocking, but it's just so bold and nice to look at.

I of course took a picture and tweeted it, as I always do with new BlackBerrys. It's really such a nice device, I love that not many people have these.

There are defects. Mine has the keyboard loose key issue. The three keys on the far right are loose and u can feel them wiggle at their place and once clicked u can hear them double clicking.

Unlike the US and Canada, In the middle east its impossible to return a phone and can only send the warranty and phone back to be fixed. You should feel glad that u guys over there can return your phone over and over when u feel that there is a problem with it.

I did have to throw the camera on night mode and turn off the lights but the red is almost a Ferrari red. It's a lot nicer in person for sure! Pull the trigger buddy, you won't regret it!!
